2015-bitd-henderson-250-sebastian-krywult-utvunderground.com010 The Team at Suspended Fabrication located in Apple Valley, CA has brought their decades of desert race car building and aerospace experience together to build a car to take on the PRO UTV desert racing competition. Having spent years working in the aerospace industry working on some of the world's most advanced aircraft, coupled with decades spent racing, and building desert race cars from class 9's to Trophy Trucks, Suspended Fabrication is uniquely positioned to bring to the world some of the most advanced desert racing UTV's. The core of the Suspended Fabrication team comes from a space and military aerospace background and have spent years in the highly technical world of military and space aviation. Some builders advertise that they use mil-spec components but the finished product is not mil-spec unless the work has been done by trained and certified mil-spec technicians using calibrated and certified mil-spec tools and equipment. They bring their knowledge and expertise from the high end desert racing market and mold that together with their expertise garnered from years' working on projects from MQ-1 Predator drones, to the B2 Stealth bomber, from the Space Shuttle to the F-35 Lightning to produce cars like no other and it shows in this build. [gallery link="file" ids="34268,34272,34275"] They didn't view this current race machine as a UTV, they simply saw it as a race-car and built it the only way they know how. They understand that desert racing is not a horsepower game as much as it is a suspension game. Hours of thought and effort went into making subtle changes to the suspension geometry, taking caster, camber and steering ackerman into account to make a car that handles as good as it looks. When it came to the shocks they spent hours in the desert and on the scales to get the shock valving and spring rate as close to perfect as it could be. Their motto that there is no such thing as "good enough" it's either right or wrong shows in this build.
