Gray Leadbetter Racing Returns to Action in Antigo
Off-road champion Gray Leadbetter and the Gray Leadbetter Racing team set their sights on a return to Championship Off-Road action this weekend at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway in Antigo, WI. Leadbetter and the #28 Partzilla Can-Am opened the season last month at Dirt City Motorplex, where she scored a top 10 in the first race and was running on pace for another in the second before getting caught up in an incident after halfway.
“We learned a lot and made tons of progress at Dirt City, we just had some bad luck on Sunday,” said Leadbetter. “But the car’s in one piece and learning was our priority for the first weekend. Thanks to everybody who helped us get our new team together. We’re getting ready for Antigo to come back even stronger!”
After spending most of her career running for some of the biggest names in short course, Leadbetter and her boyfriend, Nitro Circus FMX star Banksy, assembled Gray Leadbetter Racing to return her to the Pro SXS class for the first time in three years. The new team makes Leadbetter one of the youngest owner-drivers in the sport of off-road racing.
From here, Leadbetter looks ahead to Antigo, where she took back-to-back second place finishes in Pro Spec last year. Practice and qualifying will run at 3:10PM and 6:10PM on Friday, while races will take place at 5:45PM on Saturday and 5:30PM on Sunday.
