Since organized female-sports first formed in the United States, female athletes have tried to find their place — in the world of motorsports. Daring to be different, UTV World Champion and GFG ambassador Cadence Cowan is breaking the mold on the once male-dominated sports world.
With an impressive list of achievements to her name, Cadence Cowan from Lake Havasu, AZ — dominates women’s motorsports with her ‘wired to drive hard and fast’ mentality. Humble and hungry — craving competition and the thrill of speed. The UTV racing atmosphere is everything for Cadence and her team.
And while it doesn’t fall short of sacrifices and sleepless nights, Cadence has prepared her entire life for UTV racing — just a girl born for speed.
In 2021, Cadence and her team are heavily focused on WORCS, the UTV World Championships, the Mint 400, SXS Regionals, and much more. Cadence asserted, “I hope to bring home a podium for the championship and we will be pushing hard to better myself and the car. We are coming in hot!”
Dare to be Different: Cadence Cowan
There’s no ceiling here. Possessing the combination of athleticism and charisma — Cadence Cowan is the real deal in off-road racing. The UTV World Champion is a powerful representative of what a female racer can do. Yes, indeed. And while she is now a role model for female racers, Cadence has always had her eye on another hero in the industry. When asked how role models influenced her as a little girl, Cowan stated, “Kristen Matlock definitely has to be my hero, as she has always been an idol of mine. I got the amazing opportunity to go and pit for them in Mexico for the Matlock Racing team and they have treated me like their own since day one when we first met them at King of the Hammers a couple of years ago.” When multi-winning champions Sara Price and Kristen Matlock state Cowan is well on her way to becoming one of the most thriving female racers of all time — you take notice.
