2025 Republic Services Parker 400 Desert Cleanup Collects 26,500 Pounds of Trash
Preparation for the Parker 400, the first event of the 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series season, continued on Sunday with the second annual Republic Services Parker 400 Desert Cleanup. When all was said and done, more than 13 tons of trash were removed from the Arizona desert, surpassing last year’s total.
“Once again the Republic Services Parker 400 Desert Cleanup was a huge success,” said UNLTD CEO Matt Martelli. “We can’t thank Republic Services and Tread Lightly! enough for their support of these events across the entire UNLTD schedule, and we’re grateful to all the series and event partners who donated prizes as well. We see Desert Cleanup events as a crucial part of our efforts to grow off-road racing by ensuring that racing through the desert is sustainable for years to come. We hope our spectators enjoy the space on race weekend, but we’d like to remind everyone: don’t trash the desert!”
Building off the success of the Mint 400 Desert Cleanup, UNLTD brings similar initiatives to each of its race events, with Parker joining the roster last year. Starting in the Upper Shea Road spectator area, dozens of volunteers worked all morning to retrieve illegally dumped waste, with items as large as an abandoned car and boat among those pulled from the desert.
As always, volunteers ranged from off-road enthusiasts to current and former professional racers, with 2024 Parker 400 Grand Marshal and former Parker mayor Dan Beaver and his son, professional off-road racer and radio and TV host Jim Beaver, among those helping out. Participants in the Republic Services Parker 400 Desert Cleanup received an event T-shirt and the opportunity to win exciting prizes donated by UNLTD sponsors.
The 2025 Parker 400 schedule continues with two days of pre-running on Tuesday and Wednesday, beginning at 8AM each morning, before the Parker 400 Kickoff Party takes place on Wednesday night at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. A full schedule for the week can be found at theparker400.com/schedule.
The Parker 400 Off-Road race takes place January 15th -19th in Parker, AZ. For more information on parking Passes, Camping, and Merch, visit theparker400.com.

About UNLTD Off-Road Racing
The Unlimited Off-Road Racing league was formed by The Martelli Brothers in 2023 after more than a decade of successful desert off-road race promotion, including The Mint 400, The UTV World Championship and The California 300. The league was formed to promote the sport of desert off-road racing, the off-road industry, and to expand the reach of off-road companies beyond the industry and into the homes of every off-road race fan, globally. Key attributes of the newly formed league include large racer car counts, competitive and challenging race courses, safe and family-friendly spectating areas, multiple days of racing and off-road festivities all located near major cities and markets that positively affect the off-road industry. The Martelli Brothers, owners of the motorsports powerhouse production group Mad Media have made it their mission to grow the league into a four race series that showcases the best off-road racers on the best courses in North America.
