2024 UNLTD Championship Chase: Limited Truck Classes

The 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing season concludes on October 2-6 with the return of the California 300. As we prepare for an epic finish to this year’s campaign, we’re going to take a look each week at the top racers across the dozens of classes that make up a typical UNLTD entry list.

This week, we’re going to highlight many of our limited truck classes, starting with TrophyLite and going all the way through the stock and production divisions:

TrophyLite and Jeepspeed Trophy

Two TrophyLite drivers, Shawn Runyon and Daniel Sullivan, have started both races so far this season. Back-to-back victories at the Parker 400 and Mint 400 have given Runyon a comfortable 45-point advantage over Sullivan, who finished second at the Mint. Elliot Slavic’s third place at the Mint made him the final finisher in class in the race.

Jeff Harmonson was the lone Jeepspeed Trophy starter in Parker, and the only finisher in class at the Mint, giving him the maximum of 340 points. Harmonson was joined on track by Savanah Parker in the latter, but Parker unfortunately fell out of the race before the end of the first lap.

Additional Limited Truck Classes

While the Class 1450 entry list featured eight trucks at the Mint, no racer has started both events. Alfredo Garcia was the only one to run in Parker, while Don Beaumont, Zack Conner, and Christopher Rosch were the top three at the Great American Off-Road Race. Beaumont came the closest of the group to finishing all four laps of the Limited Race in under 10 hours, falling just 80 seconds short of that goal.

Multiple classes saw two entries go head-to-head at the Mint 400, with both making it to the finish line. In Class 7S, James Burman took the victory ahead of Daniel Grooters, while John Williams defeated Josh Atteberry in the 4600: Stock division.

Mike Bosley was the lone Jeepspeed Challenge racer to start at the Mint, where he also managed to finish the race. The same goes for Davis Julian in Class 2000, the Chevrolet entries of Chad Hall in Stock Production Truck Mini/Mid and Chris Woo in Stock Production Truck Full, and Matt Trainham in EV Production.
