HANDLING
Torsional Trailing A-arms (TTA) rear suspension with 16 inches of Travel
The innovative Torsional Trailing A-arms (TTA) rear suspension system offers a full 16 inches (40.6 cm)
of travel to provide a smooth, predictable ride. The compact version of a five-link suspension offers no bump steer and low scrub. This all translates to a more controlled wheel movement, optimal bump absorption and tire-to-ground contact for exceptional handling. A compact design also means low unsprung weight for quicker suspension reaction to changing terrain. Along with the top of the line FOX shocks, the rear suspension system offers a perfect balance of confidence at high speeds and the agility and nimbleness of a true sport vehicle.
Double A-arm front suspension
The double A-arm front suspension features 15-inch (38.1 cm) travel for a capable and precise ride.
NEW FOX 2.5 Podium QS3 piggyback shocks
New FOX 2.5 Podium QS3 piggyback shocks were added for 2017. The high-grade shocks allow for simpler and quicker compression adjustments, and feature a tool-free adjuster and numerous fine-tuning ranges for exceptional ride quality. An additional Bottom-Out Control on the rear shocks allows for less compression damping at ride-height to improve comfort and traction while giving huge damping at the end of the stroke to reduce harsh impacts.
NEW Front sway bar
The new front sway bar uses a torsional spring design to counter weight transfers to reduce body roll and
create an even flatter and more desirable handling experience. It attaches to the underside of the chassis and
to the A-arms via a sway bar link.
117.5-inch (298.5 cm) wheelbase
The Maverick MAX X ds Turbo side-by-side vehicle has its own frame, including a modified rear sub frame, center rail and a few tweaks to the front end compared to the standard Maverick MAX. 131-hp Turbocharged Rotax 1000R V-Twin engine w/ high-flow design
The industry’s first factory-installed turbocharger features a high-flow design to maximize performance yet remain reliable for both recreation and racing. The 131-horsepower Rotax V-Twin engine has an electronically controlled wastegate that automatically adjusts boost pressure for optimal performance in any condition and even maintains full performance at altitudes up to 5,000-ft. Paired to the turbo is an air-to-air Intercooler with built-in fan to keep cooled air flowing to the engine even in the most demanding conditions. To keep up with the added pressure in the engine, low-pressure forged pistons offer unmatched durability. High-capacity injectors ensure a better fuel delivery and provide optimal air/fuel mixture for better performance.
Yoshimura exhaust
The slip-on, Yoshimura exhaust is 33% lighter than the Maverick MAX DPS muffler, it produces a throaty performance sound and adds to the vehicles fit-and-finish.
Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPSTM)
The Tri-Mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) allowing riders to select the desired amount of steering assist to adjust to the terrain requirements and to various riding styles. It offers less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed.
Visco-Lok QE† front differential
All DPS-equipped models come with the Visco-Lok QE calibration giving an even quicker engagement of the front differential. Can lock up to 100% with no rev or speed limiter. This differential, unlike some competitor’s differentials, does not have a speed or rev limiter.
