Polaris RANGER is the Hardest Working, Smoothest Riding line of utility vehicles available. The line offers full size, midsize and multi- passenger vehicles for hunt, farm, and trail. For Model Year 2014, Polaris will add three new vehicles to an already comprehensive offering, the RANGER CREW® 900, RANGER® 570 EFI and RANGER CREW® 570 EFI. For Model Year 2013, Polaris defined a whole new class of Hardest Working, Smoothest Riding with the new, full size RANGER XP® 900. For 2014, all the benefits of the RANGER XP 900 now can be found on the all-new, multi-passenger RANGER CREW 900. Similar to its hardest working three-passenger counterpart, the RANGER CREW 900 offers more power with its ProStarTM 900 engine that churns out 60 horsepower, a 50 percent increase over the RANGER CREW 800 EFI model, and has the ability to tow a ton. The ride is quieter due to the engine’s new location under the rear cargo box. The box features more tiedown points, provisions for easily-inserted box dividers, larger gate release and boasts a 1,000 lb/453.6 kg capacity. It also is wide enough to fit a pallet and is compatible with Lock & Ride accessories so the vehicle can tackle any hauling project thrown its way. The RANGER CREW 900 has a wide variety of accessories available for a myriad of work applications. To ensure the vehicle is hard working and able to run more accessories at one time, Polaris equipped it with a high capacity battery and new stator for 30 percent more electrical power over the RANGER CREW 800 EFI. One of the most exciting accessories available is the Lock & RideTM PRO-FITTM cab accessories, designed for total integration. Similar to the RANGER XP 900 cab frame, the new RANGER CREW 900 frame also features profile tubing, providing a 360-degree sealing surface for every cab component. Windshields, roofs, doors and rear panels follow the shape of the vehicle, locking directly into the cab frame’s precision contours. Many PRO-FIT cab components feature Polaris-exclusive Lock & RideTM technology for quick and easy on and off. The cabs are 60 percent quieter at idle and 40 percent quieter at 20 mph/32.2 kph. To complement the hardest working features, the RANGER CREW 900 features a restyled, all-new cab and a more rigid chassis for a new class of smoothest riding in a multipassenger vehicle. The completely redesigned cockpit fits five people more comfortably and offers class-leading ergonomics, including a new center console with added storage and cup holders. The adjustable driver’s seat, found on Limited Edition models, and standard tilt steering gives occupants more options in comfort. The new seat belts are easier to use and Polaris added a full shoulder harness for the rear, middle passenger. The cab also offers tons of storage both in-dash and under both the front and rear seats. For an incredibly smooth ride and optimal handling that complements the RANGER CREW 900’s longer wheelbase, the vehicle features an all-new chassis that is more rigid, with increased torsional stiffness. This delivers a smoother ride, low vibration and the ability to tackle anything that stands in its way. The RANGER CREW 900 has easy steering with or without Electronic Power Steering (EPS), and features 5 in/12.7 cm more wheelbase, 1 in/2.5 cm more rear suspension travel and 11.3 in/28.7 cm of ground clearance. The new unit also is easy to own and maintain. The wet sump engine, which offers 100 hours between service intervals, is easily accessed from under the rear cargo box, and has an easily accessible oil check and fill. It also features common metric fasteners for most parts and grease zerks to flush joints. For operator ease, there is fuel access on the driver’s side and a 11 percent larger gas tank that holds 10 gal/37.85 liters, making gassing up more convenient and less frequent. The RANGER CREW 900 is available in Sage Green, Solar Red and Polaris Pursuit Camo. Limited Edition models include Sunset Red and Titanium Matte Metallic. Electronic Power Steering (EPS) is standard on the Polaris Pursuit Camo and Limited Edition models.
