Lats year it was right there, like 50 yardsis the most. If you get there early enough you can get a spot right at the start. I'll talk to Jake and see if their doing it the same this year.

I haven't had a chance to talk to Jake yet, but it looks like the track might be running backwords this year!

Intro

Heard good things about this forum and look forward to having you guys out at Soboba.

We extended the parking/camping area from last year to give you guys more room. The course is similar but like mentioned runs backwards. We are also working on a better infield section to make those jumps a little more friendly. Theres a new spot which we are calling "spectator hill" that is just right for setting up your chair and enjoying the show. Plenty of food vendors and of course the casino just down the road.

I had a couple questions brought to my attention I thought I would get your take:

1. Rotax motors?
2. Custom motors (R1 1000cc)?
3. Turbos?

Initally the class was supposed to be open but I don't think its fair to have a custom built one off car with a rhino body and to me a street bike motor in anything dirt sounds unsafe. I don't know what you think about rotax or turbos? Don't get me wrong I'm up for custom or faster but where would you draw the line? Just like to make it fair all the way around.

can you devide it up into two separate classes?

class 1 - any modified stock motor

class 2 - anything goes

...if not i say draw the line at 800cc.

Jacob! Thanks a bunch for joining the site!! We look forward to supporting the Saboba GP.

As for the motors. A Rotax is 800cc, you have the Teryx 800cc, and you have some of those weller cars with 720cc+......a rotax swap gives an advatage over a stock motor yes but only puts it on par with the teryx and those crazy built Weller and Benchmark motors....especially the buil;t Teryx motors.....so Rotax without a doubt is cool, a turbo I would say is cool, and I would even vote for an R1 although it will be insanely faster.....whether not it can hold up willl be the question!!!

I say let em run!!! trust me when I say forget about the Rotax, what some of these guys Are showing up with in their built motors is just as gnarley....wait until next year when some guys show up with XTZ Arctic Cat 1000!! They are 85mph out of the box!!

LET EM RUN JACOB!!! LET EM RUN!!
