I believe mine came with a 13 or 14 on the front, but we all gear them down to 12t - unless you are looking to run some seriously tall gearing?

Yeah, you want the smallest as possible on the front. I went down from a 13 to a 12 on my 05, and noticed a difference.

Then on the back, I believe 52 T is the biggest you can go without having something custom made.

first question, on a 2003, what is the largest sprocket i can run on the engine?
the largest i've seen is a 18. any bigger and your probably going to start hitting the case?

I forgot about the reverse box guys. Yeah, a larger front sprocket would be good, when trying to keep the heat down on the chain. My comments (and Gary and Corrys above) were in relation to a sprocket direct drive setup (SR1 conversion), not one using a reverse box.

i should of clarified, i am running a reverse box, probably 5.4 gear ratio, so i need a bigger front spocket.

i figured they were talking about a hub when the sizes were small sprockets, lol

Oop...yeah....I was referencing a direct chain drive, not the FNR box stuff - sorry! :)

where can i get rear sprockets for rpm gearbox? also the front? i want 18-21 or 18-20, all i could find is 17 for the front.

also should i do the 520 or the 530 conversion?
