BUSH RACING
TOP 10 FINISH AT SILVER STATE 300

1911 Bush Racing Polaris RZR XP1000 tearing off the line at Silver State 300.
Las Vegas, NV

Polaris continues to be the manufacture to beat. When Bush Racing set out to build a new car for the 2014 racing season the Polaris RZR XP1000 was the only option for them. When selecting a shop to transform the machine into a BITD legal PRO UTV they looked to Johhny and his crew at UTV Inc. UTV Inc. has been in the game for years building top notch sand cars and play cars. Brian and UTV Inc teamed up in the past to build the Bush Racing King Of The Hammers car.

Starting 19th off the line Brian and Drew would have difficulties with traffic, dust, and the rising sun. Not wanting to risk throwing the race away in the first 50 miles Bush would settle into a comfortable fast pace. As the dust cleared and the morning sun crested the mountains surrounding Alamo, Brian and Drew soon realized they were racing through a very scenic and majestic desert landscape. Smooth fast graded roads weave through pine trees and green vegetation.

Flying through a silt section around mid race.

200 miles into the race and pushing hard only to have hardware failure change their day. They radius rod bolt let go and sent the car sideways. The radius is a critical rear suspension competent. Without the parts to fix it on the course Bush was forced to limp the car 20 miles to the waiting chase crew. Amazingly, the robust fox racing shock would support the load of the trailing arm.

Bush making up lost time flying through the trees.

Just outside of pit 7 they suffered a flat tire. Knowing that pit 7 was not a scheduled stop, Bush so happy to see his team parked with LSR and ready to service his machine. After driving 6 miles on the wheel, Bush tore out of pit 7 headed for the finish. Bush and Drew ran the last 36 miles wide open flying across the finish line in 10th place. All in all it was great day for Bush Racing.

Next up for Brian will be the Baja 500 where he will drive a leg of the race for John Angal and team UTV Inc.

Brian and Drew would like to thank their crew of Dallas Hash, and Ryan Allen. Also the crews of Lonestar Racing, UTV Inc, Branden Sims, and John Melvin who would jump in and help them the pits that they were at.
