Apache-Sitgreaves NF - Forest Plan Revision Open House Meetings in April
Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,
The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, located in east-central Arizona, is in the process of revising their Forest Plan. During the month of April, the Forest Service (FS) will be hosting a series of open house style public meetings to begin focusing on the next stage of the revision process. Dates, locations, and times for these meetings are listed below.
Currently, the FS is developing a range of alternatives, which will be analyzed in the EIS. As a starting point, they have developed initial drafts of four alternatives for your review and comment.
The open house meetings will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback on these draft alternatives. The feedback you provide the FS will help them to flesh out these draft alternatives and possibly create additional ones.
These draft alternatives are available electronically at www.fs.fed.us/r3/asnf/plan-revision. Printed copies are also available by contacting the Supervisor's Office (928) 333-4301.
