Set the price aside for the moment.

Which would you choose and why or why not

Not for racing or sand.

Used for open desert and rocks.

Thanks

The KOH cars are heavily modified. The XP1K is definitely more powerful and will have better suspension and handling. The T2 is much more robust and lots of low end grunt thanks to the V twin and has a front diff lock which is great for the rocks. Also, you can carry a ton of gear in the bed and in the two storage containers. The cab is also much more roomy. Power steering comes standard. Again, it always comes down to riding style and what your going to use it for. I'm biased towards Kawi as I own a T4 but both are great vehicles. Good luck.

Depends on what you want to do with it?
If you want to haul the beer the the T2
If you want to haul the mail then XP1K

Don't drink the juice... ;) go with the canned ham.... but seriously, both machines perform well. At the 2014 KOH, a new T2 finished second in sportsman and you know all about the success of the xp1k... its like the race between the tortise and hare...but what few remember is that they both finished... either way you will have a smile on your face and a few bugs to work out. Good luck and hope to see you guys soon...

If your gonna whip on it in the rocks I would buy a T-4, They are built solid and take a beating. Polaris has a great product but they are a little more delicate that the Kawi.

If you really want a rock killing tank, Honda, we used a Big Red for a chase/rescue rig at KOH and ran it over Fissure, Up Chocolate Thunder, over Shortbus, Up the Sandhill and it kept on ticking, just rides like a tank, but we could not kill it, looking forward to getting new Honda.

Stock vs. Stock, XP1K all the way.
18" XP1K wheel travel vs. 8" T2
29" Tires XP1K vs. 26" T2
107HP XP1K vs. 50HP ( Not sure on HP rating on the T2, thinking 50 to 55 )
80 MPH XP1K vs. 50 MPH T2

The XP1K makes going fast easy & going slow in the rocks a piece of cake. A very predictable machine to drive.

Very roomey cockpit area compared to the XP900.

If you were talking 4 seaters the T4 would be my choice. But would need some susp, tire & ECM upgrades $$. The XP1K 4seat Is just too damn long for what you like to do.

Myself and wife like to go fast......Because our XP's do it easley.

I love my T4... With LTI kit, it's rides smoother than any other sxs I've been in. I also have mine setup as a 2 seater now. Lovin it

For your type of riding, T2/T4 all the way! Add LT and a cage and yer still cheaper than an XP1K and have a stonger car:D

Both have good features. Remember, set aside cost for this discussion. Hard to argue with results and koh typifies the kind of riding we do

Let's say 14K O.T.D. for a new T2 + 6K LTI susp. = 20K
( still need 30"Tires & 14"wheels $1,200, Reflash ECM 61mph. $400 )

You still only have a car that will
61MPH, vs. 80MPH
14" wheel travel vs. 18"

Now your at about the same price as a XP1K O.T.D. @ list price.

How about that George!! Luv ya brother! Lol

Ok, top speed has always been a bit overrated in my book. How often can you really do 80 in a sxs ? It's cool to go fast from A to B but when I get to B, I really need torque and clearance.
