There are spring rate calculators on the internet if you know the weight of your vehicle. Court and I have been testing some different shim stacks and spring rates on his race car and we are down wayyy low on the rear spring rate right now...

What seems to be the problem Brian?

just getting a little ass end buckin going on when the whoops are LOOONNGGG whoops and i cant make enough speed to stay on top of them...

i'll try to find a video to illustrate whats going on

not sure of the weight of my car, its a two seater with a beefy as cage (might be some weight there) and im running kings with 350lbs in the rear

Seems thereis no way to compare one kit to another as the shock angles will be different. I ended up with 300 preloaded 1/2" driver side, 275 no preload pass side rear. When I sit in the car there is 200lbs more weight on the driver rear tire than the pass. I used FOA shocks spring calculator. It only calculates for sag, and there is a lot more than sag that should determine the spring weights, but it's a decent start point.

i think a 275 or 300 would work best. it depends on your valveing and also how you aproach the whoops as far as what speed your at.when your going down hill yourback will kick a little more naturally. what spring are you running in the front?

im not shure but i would try the spring first. if you have the stock bed in the back and its only a 2 seater the you might go with a 300 in the rear and a 250 in the front. check out the video of me on my dads stock 450 with a plus six a arms and bilstein shocks. i have that same combo on the springs but my race rhino has the same kit with a 225 front and a 250 rear. check out the video at you tube under jumping rhino.mod
