My cousin is selling a 6 inch lifted 2002 F350 7.3L 4 door crew with 8 foot bed. It is super clean and has 180k miles. had the following done within last year.

Front end redone
New 35 inch tires
Trans rebuilt
Airbags

Would 15k be reasonable? What do u guys think?

Sure is a lot of miles. Think about your rear diff and engine wear. At 180000 miles with a lift jit and bigger tires has put a lot of strain on the gears. Plus youll need new suspension soon new leafs also.

For reference to mileage, my neighbor has a 00 F-250, 360K on the truck, daily driver to Chino from Beaumont. 2nd transmission, front axle hubs replaced several times, common failure on auto hubs.
New injectors, injector pump, he has a 6" lift with 35's.
They are solid trucks, I had a 2000 and loved that truck but moved up to a 2011 6.7.
I would not hesitate to buy one if needed, with a chip, intake and pipe they are reliable rockets.

It crosses my mind but I'm not ready to spend 30k on a recent year low mileage diesel. I definitely would feel more comfortable with a 100k or less but knowing my cousin took care of it and rebuilt transmission and replaced seals makes it a little easier. I know those trans should last another 150k miles and engine last for 500k if maintained properly. The other stuff costs but not an arm and leg to fix.

How many miles would you hesitate to buy one? I see many on sale but most have 200k+

A diesel truck with 200k miles still has a lot of life left in engine, IF it was taken care of. However, you will start replacing or repairing misc items ie,starters, injector pumps, alternators. I had thatsame truck I bought when ithad about 180k on it, I sold it when it had 233k because it was always having little things go out.
