Just saw a spread on the news that Riverside just passed a bill to allow electric golf cart type vehicles in the 45 and under zoned areas. Not sure of all the fine print that goes with it and rules, but whats the chance of tricking out one of the new Ranger EV's with LT and the goods and hopping up that electric motor and getting it to be legal?

There are actually two models; the EV and the EV LSV. The LSV already comes with turn signals, DOT tires, windshield, etc. They are already legal in most states on roads marked 35 and below as long as the vehicle doesn't go over 25 mph. Good catch on the article because the 45 mph thing makes it more practical because it opens up more roads.

That could be fun. Thinking a brushless motor and lipo batteries.
