Just wondering what everyone's preferred tire height is on their UTVs? On a 12" or 14" wheel do you prefer running a 25" or 26" tire height? Thank you to everyone who replies to this thread with their opinion.

I like 14x26, sometimes its nicer to have the internal clearance to brake calipers and stuff when it comes to rocks and debris when you are desert racing. Others like the 12x26 so that they have more sidewall height when hitting objects out in the desert, gives you and extra 1" of cushion before getting a pinch flat.

View attachment 3032I just got a set of 25x8x12, 25x10x12 for my rzr. I havent had a chance to check them out yet but I am testing them out next weekend going the back way to crown king and see how these perform. They are ITP QuadCross tires on hi-per sidewinder rims

For desert racing I would like to see a good 14x28 combination. But I have settled with 14x27 and been happy with it!
A 28 would be nice...maybe we could manage to keep those ones on the ground. :D

for the rhino I am a 12" Wheel with a 25" Tire guy..I just got a set of HiPer Wheels with a set of GBC 25" Grim Reepers! I will pst those up once they get mounted

..for more powerful machines I am all about 14" Rims with a 28" tall tire!! The downside to 14" rims is you lose rubber causing wheel damage. The bigger the tire the better the protection but you increase weight. ITP has a 28" Baja Cross now I believe but my ultimate set up is the one Team Green runs on his play car......pictured below...15" Rim with 28" BFG Mudd Terain

I like 12x26 on my Bighorns for trails and rocky stuff that we get in the hills in SoCal, the extra ground clearance is nice. For the sand 12x25 paddles work best for my stocker.

I am thinking of going to a 30 to 33" tire on my Ranger for rock crawling. I have a +6 dragon fire racing long travel suspension with 26x14s now. Does anyone have experience with really big tires like this? What advise does anyone have?
