Cognito Motorsports wants to send a few huge thank yous out. First to Scott McFarland for allowing us to take some parts off his back up parts car. Secondly to one of Burnetts chase guy for helping us when help was desperately necessary. This baja 1000 couldn't have been finished without your help!

Congrats to all the competitors of this awesome race. You guys have competed in a race that many people dream to race in. Good job. I look forward to hear the stories when everyone gets home. My first question is, what prank did the cognito and jagged x teams do to each other this race?

As much as jagged and we love for each other, unfortunately we had issues at near the mm250 mark and we were no longer able to compete with each other. We were in need of some parts near 660 but jagged had already cleared 660 and we were lucky enough to get some parts we needed to continue on. Congratulations to UTV inc and Jagged X on their battle to the finish in La Paz. It was a hell of a fight against Baja. But.....

Come Henderson, ....... It's on !!!!

Hell of a battle... just little over 3 minutes separated #1 vs #2.

It's also interested to me the speeds... average TT #1 speed 56mph ... Johnny team #1 speed 38mph ... that's only 18mph difference between $1million dollar rig and $50k rig... UTVs have come HUGE leaps and bounds.

Way to go UTV Inc. !!!

Joey just wanted to say THANK YOU to you, your team and everyone who made the coverage of this years race so accessible. Without your team and yourself posting updates, images, videos (WTF! HOW DID YOU EVEN?! IM STILL BLOWN AWAY) DURING the race no one would have been able to stay entertained and on their edge of their seats the entire 1275 miles!

I have friends who are not into desert racing at all and through updates I was sharing from you guys on my FB page were getting into the race and building excitement in them to see how it was going to pan out.

You know you have a SOLID team and program when people outside of the desert racing world get excited about a race due to the hype and media your team presented during this years Baja 1000.

You guys run a TOP NOTCH program and when I say you wrote the book on it, I really mean it. LARGE media companies will be taking notes from it and will learn what needs to be done to keep the sport growing. Keep up all your hard work and it will continue to pay off for you and your team.

Thank you again for all the support to the entire UTV industry.

- The UTV INC #1919 Crew

Just to clarify, no one is building one of the top 2 UTV's for $50k and a fully prepped Geiser TT is about $500k...not that there's a huge difference, but just wanted to clear up those numbers a little bit.:D

Thanks Nick! Means a lot.

I think everyone in the sport of UTV knows that UTVUnderground.com was founded upon a couple of guys being passionate about our sport. We eat, sleep and shit UTV! We are proud of what we did at this years Baja 1000 and just hope the companies we need to fund this type of coverage see value in helping us continue with it!

I am not kidding, barring building a race UTV, we could have raced this race with the money we spent on covering it. lol

Thank you to all you guys, and all I can say is if you enjoyed it, the best way to say thank you is to share our site and help us keep growing!

here is what slowed the Murrays down..
The first time.......

The second was a "car lost power, sputtered, popped and now won't run" around RM 890 . We took fuel at Baja Pits @ RM 855 and thought we had bad fuel. Took hours to eliminate one thing after another with multiple trips to Parts Truck.

The third and most dangerous was the on-baord fire at 1051.! Fixed it quickly once we got to the car, but residual electrical issue plagued us the rest of the way to the finish. :(

We never gave up! Except sleep......lol.
