The Mint 400 MVRacing;

We had an amazing time at the Mint 400, the car was very well received through out the day at contingency people were very impressed by the new GMZ Ivan Stewart tires we were running on the car, and the new Baja Designs Lighting setup we now have on the car.

Race day started out with Driver Matt Voda, and Dean Horne Co-Driver getting in the car at 5am and officially starting the race at approximately 6:30am we set out knowing that this is the toughest race in the country and to finish we needed to drive smart. The car was handling awesome the GMZ tires were hooking up great and they were taking a pounding from the vast amount of rocks that made up the course amazingly they held up the whole race with no issues.

Lap One; We drove smart keeping a good pace and passing a lot of people that were breaking and having issues already on the first lap, we knew if we just kept a good pace and drove smart we would have a top 5 finish. At the end of the first lap we had a driver swap taking Matt Voda out and putting team driver Dean Horne behind the wheel with Nick Bayes Co-Driving.

Lap two We continued to keep our consistent pace going finishing lap two with no issues and only needing to take on fuel in the pits, our great support team got us out of the pits in great time, and with our Baja Designs Green Pit light on the front made life easy to spot the car coming into the pits.

Lap Three; We weren't about to take the easy way out and try to finish on lap two with the Grand Prix finish we were determined to go all the way and truly Finish The Mint 400 the toughest race in the country. We were still on pace approximately 50 miles into the third lap when the Trick Trucks started to catch up to us. We were forced to pull over to allow them to pass by for safety when we noticed the back end feeling a little lose, everything looked fine but on closer inspection we found the driver side rear trailing are had started to come apart with the rear hub bolts pulling through the steel plate and the plate ripping the welds apart from the brutal course. We were able to rig it up to limp the car along another 20+ miles to get to Pit B where we were able to get help from the Honda team they threw down some phat welds that allowed us to continue on and become the 13th and final Pro Production car to complete all 3 laps of The Mint 400.

We want to thank all of our amazing sponsors without you we would not be here and we would not be able to finish this tough race;
