With this build, weight was the obvious goal, while also keeping everything as low as possible. Everything we build is mostly out of chromoly and tig welded to keep the weight down and strength to a maximum. Now with a single seater we only had to cover one seat meaning we could use less tubing keeping once again weight to a minimum. And with the redesign were able to add an intrusion bar that goes all the way from the roof to the floor on the passenger side. Now with putting the radiator above the motor we kept the weight down as low as possible, but we had to make the custom aluminum shroud to get enough air back to the radiator. After the build we were excited to get the car race ready and weigh it. Ended up being below 1,400lbs. As far as we know it's the lightest WORCS car out there. If any are lighter, huge congrats, and we would love to see how you did it. Please, enjoy the pictures. If you're interested in a serious Short Course or Desert build contact via our website or our shop line.
