As stated in the rulebook all Pro classes and Kart classes require a spotter. A spotter is recommended in all other classes. If a spotter is not used in these other classes, the racer must have a radio to hear the spotter channel. This is Mandatory! Without this communication not only is your safety in jeopardy but also the safety of your fellow Racers, safety officials and track workers. This is not a new rule, it has always been mandatory in the rule book but this season it will be more strictly enforced.

After learning about this we immediately went to work trying to find an affordable solution for our customers and all the Lucas Oil racers. Our goal was threefold; make it easy, inexpensive and expandable.

Here is what we came up with; â€œThe RacerX Radio Rental Programâ€

The RacerX Radio Rental Program is an easy affordable way to comply with the rule book and have access to the caution yellow flags, red flags and other important information from the Lucas Officials.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You arrive at the track, find the RacerX Vendor Trailer, and for ONLY $30.00 you can rent a radio for the weekend. If you have your own ear buds you are good to go, or for $20.00 you can buy a set of ear buds that you can keep and save for the next race.

If you are interested in this program PLEASE CALL US! This is very important; we want to try to make sure to have enough for everyone! We have many other communication packages available for those that prefer not to rent.

Thanks Kenny O / Racer X communications for supplying the rental fleet! The Regional racers well need them as it keeps all the racers and track workers a little more safe with communication. Radios have been mandatory and for 2014 the series will be enforcing this a little more. It's for the better.

SR1, dont know the results but I do know Jason Wellers new SR1 took some serious damage. T-boned a car driving across the track on the back side of a table during qualifying is the story I got. Confirmed.

Shout out to Black Rhino/RacerX for bringing all the rental radio equipment and supplies.

We had a great weekend at Round 1 the Lucas Oil Regional presented by Kartek. Special thanks to Rusty and JoeyD for making an appearance this weekend! The UTV racing was tight and we look forward to major growth in this sector (UTV's) . The Production 1000 class was a hit and the XP900 class is still strong. Keep an eye out for videos and photos! Thanks to the sponsors, racers, staff and Lucas Oil for making these races possible!

Nice picture Rusty. I here you ended up taking the RacerX rental radio set up from Joey to stay on top of all the action.

The rental idea was such a big hit we will be looking to expand it for the next round. We will release the details right here on UTVunderground.com

Thanks Doug,

Everyone involved with the regional series works hard and we all have a common goal, an affordable, family friendly race series with a big series feel. $10 to get in, free camping low entry fees, great trophies, great sponsors, great competition, prepped tracks and the best safety crew in the business. The list goes on.

Thanks for the props and hope surgery went well. We hope for a speedy recovery

Carr One Fabrication/Patridge Motorsports/SDI campaign a 5 car team for 2014. Using the proven Polaris XP900 platform and teaming up with top notch sponsors they built a great program. Walker Evans for wheels and shocks. GBC for tires and Yoshimura for exhaust. LOORRS (should this say Lucas) regional series has grown over the years. Carr One played a huge role in getting XP900 class established with Lucas. Being one of the original companies to complete Carr One already had a stable of built and competitive XP900s.

Bryan Carr, Mike Lewis, Mark Patridge, Dan Worley and Jake Yubeta make up the 5 man team. 2014 is Mike and Dans rookie season. Bryan, Mark and Jake have all competed with Lucas Oil before.

20 XP900s banging doors and hucking big jumps is a crowd pleaser. Bryan Carr and Cody Rahders put on a great show in the main. Cody would lead wire to wire but not without working for it. Bryan pushed his Polaris XP900 hard to try and pass Cody. When the dust settled Carr would hold onto a 2nd place. Carr One/Patridge Motorsports/SDI team are off to a great start in 2014. Look for big things to happen season.

*We have Wolfmate Jason Ellis of the Jason Ellis show giving the undaunted apparel UTV a shot this weekend

*This is the same UTV that TJ Lavin BMX icon ran at the WORCS series. TJ Lavin will be running the Loanmart Prolite with Coach RJ Anderson spotting for him

*Bryan McCormic from LiveTrackFeed will be running an SR1. He purchased this from Jason Weller.

*The Humbolt Motor Sports team is here with Dana Creech, Travis Rasmussen

* Sara Price will be racing the Walker Evans Xp900 class

* We currently have 35 Pre registered UTV's practicing today and we get a bulk of our entries raceday.

$10 to get in
