while we were in Mexico racing the Baja 1000, just as we left the starting line in our Polaris RZR 4 XP900, our brand new RZR 4 XP1000 was being delivered to the shop. So when we got back from Baja, we had a new adventure waiting to be exploited.

Here are some pictures of arrival, then tore down, then cut up!

The build has not progressed much this week, we are waiting on some components needed to start building the chassis, like the seats and fuel cell.

Take a gander!

Are you guys going to widen this car? I am really curious how they got more wheel travel out of a narrow car?

the arms are longer and the wheels have more offset, but the travel mainly comes from up travel, the larger diameter tires allow more up travel, but they kind of cheated by also shortening the ground clearance at full bump. the arctic cat wild cat has nearly zero ground clearance at full bump.

we are building a long travel kit yes. It will be bolt on, we will race on the same kit that we sell to the public. Tried and true, race proven product.

Is this car going to be BITD/Score legal? How much frame as to be kept to be legal?

yes, this is our new BITD build and the SCORE rules are now the same as BITD.

must have stock main frame rails, and the suspension arms must mount in stock location.

we have to race the 900 at the Parker 250 as the new car will not be ready in time. We have some international interest in this 900, so we will see how that goes.

Ha! That rule only applies to rookie fabricators like B.A.M.!
Hey Jim, did or are you going to weigh the "scrap" plie? Just curious! Do you have a target weight, or is that priveleged info? What about motor mods, any planned? Bypass shocks or? HEY MR. WILSON !!
