“BLACK RHINO SPONSORED DRIVERS HEAD TO GLEN HELEN FOR THE LUCAS OIL REGIONAL OFF ROAD SERIES THIS WEEKEND; ANNOUNCING THEIR NEWEST DRIVER, GARY THOMPSONâ€

Black Rhino sponsored drivers; Bryan Osborn driving the #854 SR1 and #588 Mod 450 TK, Ryan Beat driving the #851 SR1 and introducing “Mad Gary†Thompson driving the #802 SR1 together under the Black Rhino canopy at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA.

08/16/11 El Cajon, CA- Black Rhino will again be sponsoring the UTV class race this Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series at Glen Helen Raceway. Black Rhino sponsored drivers will be pitting together under the Black Rhino canopy on vendor row.

The newest addition to the “Black Rhino†team is “Mad Gary†Thompson driving the #802 SR1. Gary sits second in Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series (Regional Series) SR1 UTV Championship points; he finished 3rd and 2nd so far this year and is a mere 2 points behind first place. Thompson finished 4th overall in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) 2010 Championship Points in the SR1 UTV Class. Thompson’s son Gary Jr. will be spotting for him in the stands this weekend. Expect nothing less than a hellacious battle between the #802 and the #854 when they go green on Saturday.

Bryan Osborn driving the Black Rhino #854 SR1 holds onto first place in the Regional Series Championship point’s standings after stellar performances in the series so far this year with two 1st place podium finishes. Osborn is not willing to give up the point’s lead and will be looking for another 1st place finish this weekend. Crew Chief Kenny Frost put a new engine in the #854 after Saturday’s LOORRS race and is anticipating Osborn to open up a strong lead when the green flag drops.

Also in the Black Rhino pits this weekend will be Ryan Beat, driving the #851 SR1. Beat swept the field last year at Firebird International Raceway winning round 15 and the Challenge cup in the LOORRS that weekend. This year he swept the competition again at Glen Helen Raceway for Rounds 9 & 10 of the LOORRS. Driving the new SR1 that he built from the ground up with his dad and sporting the new Hart and Huntington design, this will be his first time competing in the Regional Series this year and you can expect nothing short of a podium finish.

Black Rhino's Media Team from Papaian Enterprises will be on hand taking photos, video and keeping their fans updated on Facebook and Twitter throughout the weekend.
