BlueWater Desert Challenge

Permit info for Contingency Vendors: Call 928-669-9211 x 1221, the Tribal office is at 26600 Mohave Rd, ask for the Treasure Office. You must have a Tribal permit to be a vendor.

Hotel Rooms Available at the BlueWater Resort - call 888-243-3360 - (10-15 rooms just became available! 10/12 12 noon posting!)

We are leaving for the race on Wednesday and no one will be in the office to answer your calls or emails. We will be at the BlueWater Resort if you need us starting on Thursday. We will be back in the office on Tuesday.

Note: You must race the same vehicle on Sunday that you raced on Saturday. You cannot change race vehicles.

Correction to the Time Trail Order: This is the order for Time Trials, Class 1100, 7200, 1000, 1500, 1400. It is incorrect on the Time Trial instruction page. Also, correction to the FIP, Class 4400 will be racing 3 laps in the 3rd race of the day.

Entry List: Click here to view current Entry List - please read your entry, if you have any additions/corrections please email us at [email protected]s e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and let us know what to update. We like to get all the 2-3-4 names in correctly before we leave for Parker.

Special Notice updated 10/6: We learned the outcome of an issue yesterday and we need to pass the information on to you. The BlueWater Desert Challenge race course is all on Indian Land, CRIT, the Colorado River Indian Tribes land. The Main Parking Area is on CRIT land. The CRIT Fish & Game division of the tribe will be charging an OVERNIGHT CAMPING fee of $15 per day/night/24 hour period, or $40 for a gold pass of 3 days or longer. Also, they will be charging a $25 OHV/ORV (off highway vehicle/off road vehicle) tag, which includes atv's, utv's and motorcycles. You cannot purchase the CAMPING TAG in advance. There will be two (2) gates getting into the main parking area where you will have to stop and purchase your camping pass, they accept cash or check, no credit cards. This fee applies to only vehicles you are going to sleep in (not race trailers, race vehicles.) Please know that Best In The Desert did everything we could to get this fee waived for Best In The Desert events. We did write a special letter to the council and ask for a revision to the bylaws to waive the fee but we were turned down. We are very sorry to have to request one more fee from you but this is now out of our control, there is nothing more we can do. This is not BlueWater Resort & Casino land, this is not the City of Parker land/LaPaz county land requesting this fee. Again, there is no use calling our office, there is nothing more we can do. Don't pay the OHV/ORV fee in advance, wait for them to find you.

Time revision: just to clarify, Arizona is on the same Time Zone as Las Vegas, California (PST Zone) is on. I made a mistake re: MST, so again, Parker will be the same time as Pacific Standard Time.

Camping Notice: We have arranged for River Septics of Parker, to pump out your black/gray water at the Main Parking Area. You will need to call them for service and you need to explain your position in detail. They will wait for a big group and come pump several camps at one time. Call (928) 667-0021 to request service. Also, if you didn't call them but you see them drive by you can flag them down and they will stop for you.

The Draw Order for Start Position is posted, it is by class, not start order. Click here to view Draw Order

THE BLUEWATER DESERT CHALLENGE PREMIERS ON FOX SPORTS, THURS, NOV 18th. Every Best in the Desert car/truck race is televised nationally in nearly 90 million homes by our flagship network, Fox Sports. Each program then repeats in another 40 million homes on three additional networks. We are looking for teams to follow during our 30-minute Fox Sports documentary on the Bluewater Desert Challenge. Also, the producers are seeking teams and sponsors who would like to carry on-board camera systems during the broadcast. Fees applicable; all proceeds support Best in the Desert television. Call the TV producers directly for details at 317-590-3495 or 317-413-6557.

VIDEO SERVICES AVAILABLE AT BLUEWATER DESERT CHALLENGE.Sopwith Motorsports Television Productions is the exclusive provider of video services at Best in the Desert events and can assist your team with all video needs. External footage, on-board camera systems, pit coverage, team/driver interviews, sponsor videos, film and video for your team's web site and many more services are available for both sponsors and race teams. Please call 317-590-3495 or 317-413-6557 and let us know how we can help your team.

FAXES - if you faxed your entry form we will enter you and you did make the program (up to 9/31,) BUT we will hold your FIP packet in the office until we receive your original entry form with a deposit check. Please send in your original entry form today! We don't like faxes and this is the best way to hope curtail you from sending faxes! There is plenty of time to send in an original entry form, you don't have to take the time to find your 2-3-4 to sign the back, we will get their signature at registration. Thanks and please help us with our paperwork!

Spectator information - spectating will be allowed on 2 miles of Shea Rd, on CRIT land (not BLM land.) Spectators park on the SOUTH side of Shea Rd, not the North side. No parking/standing or viewing from the north side will be permitted. Park early and get a good spot on the South side of Shea Rd! Click here to download the Spectator Parking Diagram

Congratulations to my sponsored drivers: Jeff Furnell 1939, Brian Thomas 1938 and Renee Hudson 1989! Don't know the results yet, but you were all awesome! Glad that I could come out and be there for you even though I couldn't come out to be your competition!! Also Congrats to Kevin Kohrell 1931 and Lasher 1924 and everyone else that finished. It was a really great race. I hope to be your competitor next time!:D

How did the race end up? I can't wait for the henderson. My teryx is done and waiting for a race. I wonder why there are not more Teryx's out there. Now that the Can-AM is out, chances are folks will be building those.
