I've seen reviews across the board with the same models being rated high and low. I thought I would get the reviews from the experienced.

Looking for easy map imports, larger screen and good resolution and if possible GPS\GLONASS.

I think a lot of people are starting to switch over to using a iPad of what ever size or galaxy tablet. Using apps like Gaia will let you customize and import tracks and overlays. I'm not a master at it but some one else might be able to chime in with more advise on this app or others

The Ipad is pretty awesome but not as reliable as the lowrance

Funny. That's when the UTV's seem to have reliability issues! ;)

I like the LeadNav a lot. Knock on wood I have not had an issue with the heat even in the az desert but I know my iPhone overheats easily so I am sure my time will come! I still run a lowrance in addition to the iPad/leadnav. In my opinion the leadnav is much more helpful for recreational use. If you are racing, all you really need is the basic information and lowrance has never failed me at that.

We had that on a Ipad that we used for planning our prerunning at the 1k this year and it was super cool. When we talked to the the TT racers they told us about the heat issues.
