Matt Burroughs Earns His Third Podium In A Row.

Day 1:

We were looking forward to racing the Blue Water Desert Challenge as we would be starting first off the line next to Lambert due to our 2nd overall finish at Vegas to Reno. We chose the outside or right lane which was definitely the wrong choice. It was full of both water and mud. Needless to say, Lambert was out front when we hit the dust. We just tried to keep him in sight and keep the momentum up with our non-turbo as the sand was very deep. The course was very rough with big bumps and holes which made it tough on our 2-seat short wheelbase car. Lap #2 and #3 we pushed very hard at full gas although a few turbos were able to get around us. We finished day #1 2nd non-turbo and 6thoverall.

Day 2:

We started with the outside line (not by choice this time) next to Sims. He was able to beat us out into the dust with his turbo motor. The course was really beat up with huge holes from all the trophy trucks racing the same course on day #1. Lap #1 and Lap#2 were again spent at full gas with no issues or problems. Nobody got by us so we knew we were running well on the rough course. About 5 miles into lap #3 the car developed a bad vibration. I told Dan Lewis my co-driver we were going for it. If we break we break. Lucky for us the car held together to the finish. 2nd non-turbo and 5th overall for the weekend.

Our streak of recent podiums speaks volumes about the companies that are part of our program. The products used on our car are the best and are a major contributing factor to our run of podium finishes this year.

We currently sit 2nd in points in the Pro Non-Turbo class (after throwaways) and will be pushing hard at the Pahrump Nugget 250 in December.

My wife Celeste who is battling breast cancer finished her 20 weeks of chemo the week before the race. The Monday after the race her MRI showed no-sign of cancer. The best news imaginable. We continue to dedicate our season to her as she continues to kick the crap out of cancer. The tremendous outreach and support from the UTV racing community has been very uplifting for her and our team.

We will have some very exciting announcements in the coming weeks concerning our 2017 race program. Stay tuned!!
