Gray Leadbetter Kicks Off 2025 Championship Off-Road Season This Weekend
Professional off-road racer and Championship Off-Road title winner Gray Leadbetter returns to off-road truck racing this weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway in the #28 On Track School/Yokohama/Pepper Palace Pro Lite. After returning to Pro SXS last season, Leadbetter moves into Pro Lite for the first time this year, three years after she became COR’s first female Pro champion in Pro Spec. She’ll also have the support of Ryan Beat Motorsports, the same team that fielded her Pro Spec trucks, to venture into the new division.
But if the excitement of a new class and new track weren’t enough, Leadbetter will have twice the excitement of most of her new rivals as she pulls double duty this weekend. To send off her time in Pro SXS, she’ll be filling in for Kyle Chaney in the #91 Can-Am, racing the same car that she took to a top-10 spot in points with her own team last season.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get the 2025 season underway this weekend,” said Leadbetter. “I’ve heard so much about Lucas Oil Speedway from other racers, and I enjoyed getting to test here with Ryan earlier this spring to get ready for the new campaign. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of amazing fans on hand for the return of top-level short course racing here in Wheatland.
“On top of that, I can’t thank Kyle Chaney enough for allowing me to fill in for him this weekend. It’ll be great to send off my time in Pro SXS on a high note with one more race in this car, and the extra track time should help me find the pace in both classes.”

Gray’s first Pro Lite race weekend will start on Friday with practice at noon and qualifying at 3:10PM, followed by races on Saturday at 3:15PM and Sunday at 4:15PM. The Pro SXS class will practice at 12:10PM and qualify at 3:20PM on Friday, followed by races at 3:45PM on Saturday and 4:45PM on Sunday. Tickets remain available here, while live streaming will be available all weekend long via FloRacing.
Gray Leadbetter’s Championship Off-Road program is supported by On Track School, Yokohama, Pepper Palace, Sparco, Vision Wheel, and Ryan Beat Motorsports. For more information on Gray, follow her on social media @grayleadbetter or visit GrayLeadbetter.com for her full schedule.
