Crandon International Opens Its Doors Next Week For 2015 Camping/Ticket Reservations

-- Iconic Facility Introduces New Packages Beginning March 2nd --

CRANDON, WISC. -- Despite the fact that all of Crandon International Raceway’s 400 acres is still under a thick blanket of snow and ice, for Midwest off-road racing fans next week holds the promise of warm summer weekends as the facility opens up camping and ticket reservations for the 2015 season. Crandon will open online reservations on Monday, March 2, 2015 at precisely 9:00a.m. Central TIme.

The sport’s largest purpose-built track is surrounded by 2,000 official camping spots, with more in the way. As ticket demand grows Crandon race fans eagerly await next week’s opportunity to secure their favorite locations. Thousands of the Crandon faithful have made their summer visits to this beautiful part of the Wisconsin Northwoods an annual rite of summer, with many second and even third generations of families and friends enjoying the high-speed events each year.

Last year's Labor Day weekend World Championships attracted an immense and record-breaking crowd to Crandon International Raceway. While the event draws from a large regional fan base and sells-out area hotels, for thousands of fans the real "Crandon Experience" means camping and creating a party atmosphere unlike any in off-road racing. Like the legendary Indianapolis 500 or 24 Hours of Sebring, overnight camping that is spread over several days of racing is as important to the overall “Crandon experience” as the intense on-track action itself. Located just 100 miles north of Green Bay, Crandon’s facility is the finest of its kind in the world, and has long hosted the largest crowds in short-course off-road racing history.

For the past several years, all 2000 camping spots have sold out well in advance for the huge Labor Day weekend “World Championships and Amsoil Cup” race in September, while June’s Forest County Potawatomi “Brush Run” weekend has seen a sharp rise in popularity. Both race weekends feature professional short-course racing via The Off Road Championship (TORC) series, as well as a wide variety of Sportsman classes.

In 2015, track management has introduced several new packages to allow fans the chance to claim their selected piece of Crandon camping real estate for the two largest events of the summer season. These packages include:

Crandon “Gold” Package (World Championships and Brush Run)
-- One (1) reserved “electric” site in Gold Lot for 2015 calendar year
-- Two (2) event wristbands for each event
-- Four (4) rides on the MasterCraft/Impact Safety truck at each event

Crandon “Silver” Package (World Championships and Brush Run)
-- One (1) reserved site in Gold Lot for 2015 calendar year
-- Two (2) event entry wristbands for each event
-- Two (2) rides on the MasterCraft/Impact Safety truck at each event

Crandon “Bronze” Package (World Championships only)
-- One (1) reserved site in Campgrounds 2,3 or 5
-- Two (2) event entry wristbands (World Championships only)

Spread over 400 acres of Wisconsin woodlands, Crandon International Raceway incorporates 2,000 official camping spots. Plans are in place for 2015 to create an additional 500 camp sites on newly acquired acreage. (Crandon photo)
Crandon, also known by regulars as “The Big House,” will release additional camping sites and grandstand seating on April 1, 2015 to coincide with the launch of its new and highly-expanded w ebsite. Tickets and camping for Crandon’s newest event – the 3rd annual Londerville Steel “4x4 Super Challenge” weekend will also go on sale at that time.

“There is a very special bond between Crandon and its fans,” explained President Cliff Flannery. “We love hosting them every year, and our goal for 2015 is to focus on upgrading the ‘Crandon Experience” for our guests. I know it's been said many times by many people, but Crandon really is all about our fans.”
