oh yeah,.....my badDave that would be bigger and rounder like Japinthebox's! Also on the back, not inside!
I got my money on Diagnostic, most people find them and go wtf is this lol....we've done it before. If it runs fine with all that dirt thats it and if there is no 12-14 voltage at any pin for sure!I was looking at the number of wires to a plug or bundle on the Diagram and that is the whole harness, so it should be shown, even if just diagnostic?
Yes, typically it requires dealer software and mating plug to diagnose and/or "flash" reprogram the ECU when it is acting up, for easy access. The diagnostic Plug is under the dash and the more I look at it it maybe a programing port for the ECU? It looks like a cap and plug?
You could look at ur wire diagram chase the colored wires to that dirty piece, but don't seem like thats the prob. Usually a burnt wire is the result of too much voltage from too low a fuse, or a I call them bad line replaceable units acting like a resistor, etc. Id chased the burnt wires on your diagram to LRU or fuse see wuzz up. Wires should not be sizzling unless they are by heat. So, doing a check on Dev's RZR because his RZR keeps dying. Found two burnt wires already. Cleaned up that piece, doesn't appear to have affected anything from being dirty.
